Where are we located?
We have offices in The Hague and Amsterdam, and our primary production locations are in the Netherlands and Belgium. However, we are open to discussing productions in other countries, depending on the available budget.
How much does it cost to record an orchestra or ensemble?
The cost of recording a live orchestra or ensemble performance depends on several factors. These include the number of cameras, operators, microphones, venue lighting, performance duration, final video length, and more.
The production cost of a live performance recording increases as we incorporate additional elements to enhance the quality of the final result. Therefore, the available budget will determine whether we can create a good recording, a very nice one, or an exceptional, beautiful, and engaging video. There is a noticeable difference between having just one static camera and having seven cameras, including static and operated ones that react to the performance by capturing a rich variety of close-ups, medium shots, and smooth movements. All of these elements contribute to guiding the viewers through the concert while keeping them entertained and engaged.
The editing and mixing process for performances with multiple cameras and microphones require more time and computer resources, resulting in higher post-production costs when utilizing more camera angles and microphones.
How much should you spend?
It is important to be realistic and identify the needs of your ensemble before allocating a budget for the production. Consider the following questions:
What is the purpose of the recording?
Who is the target audience?
Where will it be used, aired or streamed?
The recording may be intended for a promotional video for an upcoming CD, future concerts, or an official recording for the orchestra.
Having a clear idea of the purpose will help you determine the most appropriate type of production and estimate its costs.
